Designing the Website

Beginning a new business means having a website. And what is more exciting than designing your own website? I’m sure there are a few things. But, I decided that since I am a writer and an intelligent woman, I can learn anything. Granted, I’m not really designing my own website since I’m going through SquareSpace. They design it all. Basically. I just need to learn the ins and outs of the process. And when things go wrong, which they have, I need to know what to do about it. My son Adam is a genius, and a web design teacher, so I’ve gotten help from him. I’ve also figured some things out myself. So, if you see any issues with this website like a link isn’t set up or doesn’t go where it’s supposed to go, please forgive me. Just leave me a message on the ‘contact’ page (assuming it works) and I’ll get it fixed.

This has been a pretty time-consuming but exciting process, designing this website. I’m getting the chance to decide on all the classes I’m going to teach, what prices to charge, what services I’m going to provide, what prices to charge for those, and how to get paid. I’ve learned processes I didn’t know before and lingo I didn’t know existed. If you have any suggestions for classes I should teach please ‘contact’ me and send your ideas my way. I’m excited to teach and edit and write. My three favorite things to do!

Isn’t that the best name for a website, business, and idea? Oh, and by the way, my son designed my logo! Isn’t it perfect?!
